International Co-op (Internships)

The International Co-op category is designed for students from the 32 eligible countries that are registered in an institution of higher education in their country of origin and wish to have work experience or an internship in Canada so they can complete their academic curriculum. (Up to 12 months)

Requirements to apply for an International Co-op:

• Be admissible to Canada.
• Be a citizen of the 32 eligible countries and have a valid passport for the duration of the stay in Canada.
• Be between 18 and 29 years old at the time of applying.
• Be registered as a student in an institution of higher education in the country of origin.
• Have a signed offer for the work or internship position in Canada that will allow them to complete their academic curriculum.
• Have the equivalent of CAD 2,500 to help cover your expenses.
• Be capable of contracting health insurance for the duration of your authorized stay.
• Have a round-trip ticket, or the economic resources to buy a return ticket at the end of your authorized stay in Canada.
• Not be accompanied by your dependents.
• Pay the fees.
