Express Entry is an immigration system that selects qualified workers for Canada under the Federal Economic Programs.
The candidates present a profile online to the Express Entry Pool. Canadian employers and provincial governments throughout Canada access the best candidates that are invited by the Federal Government to apply for Canadian permanent residency.
Express Entry is a simplified, express and efficient immigration selection system that offers Canadian permanent residency to qualified workers that fulfill the requirements. It is applied to the following economic class programs:
The candidates for permanent residency through 347 professions (including Management and financial services; Engineering, Technology and Information Sciences; Health Professions; Specialized worker) that fulfill the minimum entry requirements, can present a profile where they state interest in the Express Entry Pool. The qualifications include, age, education, mastery of the language, work experience and other factors.
The profiles of the candidates are classified in a pool under the Complete Classification System that measures their human capital contribution to Canada.
The candidates without a job offer or provincial nomination should also present a work profile to the Canadian Labor Bank.
Canadian employers that are unable to contract Canadians are encouraged to provide a job offer to the candidate of their choice in the Express Entry Pool. The candidates with job offers or provincial nomination receive the highest grade (600 points).
The candidates profile will be evaluated against the other candidates in the pool. The candidates with the highest points from those a) that have a job offer from a Canadian employer b) have a provincial nomination and c) without a job offer, will be considered for an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residency. The candidates that receive an invitation should present a completed application within 60 days. The invitations will be issued during periodic drawings throughout the year.
The successful candidates will be processed and their accompanying dependents within approximately 6 months.
